Online Initiative
We plan to provide 5 internet appliances for web access and email in the community of the bridge. By doing so, we feel that the neighbors in St Theresa can share with each other and interact with their electronic neighbors in Forest Hills as well. By having access, it empowers the neighbors to acquire tools and information that they otherwise would miss out on. It allows interaction with the ever increasing e-government City services systems. This should allow this neighborhood network to easily report housing violations and suspicious activities. It will also connect this network to the Partners Against Crime email service for their 4th District. There has been some conversation relating to a wireless wired community. It is in the information gathering stage. Another discussion is strategic internet camera placement to deal with crime issues. This is also in the information gathering phase.
